Black Cat 03

Episode Summary:

Train and Sven escape from the mansion.(duh)
This, however, is followed by two important events. One, the revealing of Rinslet as her true self, and second, interaction between Sven and Eve that is to set the strong bonds for later.
Nanomachines introduced in this episode. Apparantly it allows the body to transmutate into all sorts of funny stuff. As if your science teacher would buy that. =P.

What we do get to learn more about is Creed, Train's partner and an extremely freakish man.
He also becomes extremely powerful later, but thats another story altogether. In this episode we get a sneak peak at his warped mentality.

Highlights:
Lets do a recap on things thatcan make a person stronger in this series.
1) Crazy training that results in superhuman speed and strength.
2) Crazy wrist strength that allows Train to deflect bullets with his gun, and fire 6 bullets simultaneously, and reload in a split second.
3) Crazy metal alloys that make bullets seem like cotton, and can withstand the heat from 6 rapid fires.
4) Nanotechnology, ie nanomachines.

So, the only thing that is left is TAO. How are they gonna pull it together? Beats me, but for now, i'll enjoy the fluid animation, and Eve, of course, with her practicing her techniques.

Hiatus

yo. the purpose of my second post is to annouce my hiatus. it will last for either 1 week or 4 weeks. So good game. I have to mug for GCE 'O's in 1 weeks time. so good luck and bye for now.

Black Cat 02

Another episode with more action. Plot development on Saya, and attempts at showing the gradually less introverted Train Heartnet has been made. They even included a cute little cat in one corner ( you'll see it all the time in the manga).

Scenes showing Saya and Train ensue, with some discussion and a fight between Saya and a serial killer ensues, but the action isn't really engaging.

On the other side of the world, Rinslet Walker meets up with Sven, which came as a surprise to me. (she was supposed to hunt for Black Cat, not some unknown sweeper). As of know, sven's been led right into her trap.

Moving back, or rather, the highlights of the show is the confrontation between Train and Eve. This is, of course, totally new as compared to the manga as well, but pretty well made nonetheless. Next epsiode will probably show all 4 of them meeting. Maybe the manga and the anime will fuse in at that point.

Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha A's

I love Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha A's. It has cute girls like Nanoha, Fate and Vita.



Vita is powerful and is able to go into seed mode.




Nanoha is cute and powerful, but she lost to Vita.





Fate comes and saves Nanoha. Fate is super cute and cool. She rocks and clearly owns everyone else.

Verdict: Fate is clearly the cutest girl in Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha A's

Black Cat 01

Synopsis:
Train Heartnet, age 23, works as part of a huge syndicate of which much is unknown, the Chronos. A Chronos Time Guardian, he is in charge of assasinations, and has earned a dark reputation. Amongst the underworld, he is the symbol of death; his nickname : Black Cat.

Episode 1:
Having read the manga, the way Black Cat starts is totally different from the manga. In a way, the anime is a lot easier to understand, since everything is in chronological order, but it removes much of suspense that would otherwise make the show a lot more interesting.

Animation wise, graphics are sleek and SD images are pretty nicely done. Black Cat is a comedy/action anime, and even though the starting is glum, it nicely picks up the tone through Sven.

This episode does nothing much. It shows some eye candy involving Train's assasination of people, and also introduces the main antagonist, Creed, partner/ex-partner of Train, depending on how you look at it.

Of course, those who read the manga will spot Eve. Although, i have NO IDEA why she at the ball. Probably as an easter egg(?) of sorts to those who read the manga. Well, at least they bothered to put her uncle in to explain her presence. Notice that for a 12 year old girl, she has assets that easily rival most adults.


And so the assasination goes on, with no main plot for now. Story ends with the introduction of a very important character, probably the person pivotal to Train's change. As you can see, he's still pretty angsty as of now.



Anyway, lets end off with a pic of that girl Saya :P I think she looks really kawaii in that Zipang costume.. lol!

Post exams Anime!

WooHoo exams end today at 9.20am! A short 12 days break before the big O's. Maybe can catch an anime or two in the meantime =p We were discussing about an anime marathon after the big O's. Anyone is welcome! =) Wonder how it will turn out.
